Angels Among Us

< Previous | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | Next >

Our stained glass window depicts Jesus as King and High Priest. Jesus is surrounded by four angels. The bottom left is Michael, portrayed wearing a breastplate, shield and holding a sword. The bottom right is Gabriel who is holding a lilly. Gabriel is often portrayed in art holding a lilly to symbolize Mary's purity. Gabriel delivered the message that Mary would give birth to Jesus.

The Great Liturgical Fashion Show! Fr. David Peterson, left, introduces Fr. Blair Haggart. Blair is dressed as a bishop - and yes, that is a tea cosy on his head pretending it is a mitre. The evening was called Be a Tourist in Your Own Church and was intended to describe different customs and dress in the church. It was fun for all.

Curtain Call! Cast Members (prodded on by Roman soldiers) come on stage to take their bow!

A friendly smile from Mary Cleough! Mary is one of our Anglican Church Women (ACW). The ACW often is the backbone of many churches. ACW members work at helping mission work in the Artic by fundraisers and by spending hours making things such as baby blankets, sweaters & teddy bears. In this photo, Mary is working at making mincemeat for the Christmas sale!
